Sappho Reynan Fulton is a globally respected abolitionist, transformational life coach, community organizer, and Ph.D. student in International Psychology. As CEO of Womxn Beyond Borders, she leads a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that dismantles barriers to reentry through “behind the walls” programming and FUSE: Getting from Point A to Point C, while expanding safe, gender-affirming housing options for justice-impacted transgender individuals as part of comprehensive reentry support. In her role on the Governance Committee on the HAFI Board, she advances strategies that center equity, safety, and economic mobility for communities most impacted by incarceration. Currently serving as the Co-Chair of the CAC.
Sappho offers contract services as a psychologist for youth across various capacities, delivering trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that bridges clinical practice with community-based healing. She also serves on the advisory board of CEAL, contributing research-grounded insights to program design and evaluation.
A seasoned organizer with work spanning seven African countries, Sappho integrates gender justice advocacy with spiritual leadership as an initiated Ifa Priestess in the Ogboni, Esu, and Egbe Akawande lineages. A survivor of addiction, incarceration, and complex trauma, she channels lived experience into restorative programming and policy change. Her leadership and community impact have been recognized by partners and initiatives throughout Philadelphia and beyond.
