Womxn Beyond Borders envisions and advocates for a society where people negatively impacted by social inequities can be empowered to change their lives with the adequate tools and resources needed to disrupt oppressive conditions that create systematic and social barriers. Additionally, Womxn Beyond Borders aims to promote racial equity, specifically for Black and Brown LGB/TGNC+ communities, who often face limited resource access and oppressive conditions. These communities encounter disparities in wealth, law enforcement interaction, education, health outcomes, and more, largely due to racial factors. As advocates for equity and justice, we aim to counter these negative outcomes by implementing nontraditional mental health and wellness resources. We are committed to understanding and dismantling the racial constructs that disadvantage low-income people of color and perpetuate privilege in various societal systems 

Founded by Sappho Fulton in 2018, Womxn Beyond Borders is a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization, committed to supporting, empowering, and uplifting trans womxn, and fem-bodied women of color in the LGBTQIA+ community. The cornerstone of our work is to foster a nurturing environment that acknowledges, validates, and addresses the unique challenges faced by these communities.  Founder and CEO Sappho R Fulton, a fem-bodied, queer woman of color, who recognized the urgent need to create a safe, supportive space for trans and fem-bodied women of color. Her commitment to social justice, equality, and inclusivity is infused into each of our initiatives and is the driving force behind our relentless pursuit of change. Her vision guides our mission to create an inclusive community where trans womxn and fem-bodied women of color, feel valued, supported, and lead fulfilling lives.
